An oil painting depicting the Nativity scene with the child Jesus, referred to as "Praesepium" in Latin, lying in a manger in a stable, cradled in the arms of his mother, Mary. Joseph stands by, and both parents look on with visible astonishment.

May we implore the Holy Family to help us fall more in love with the Infant Jesus by returning to Adoration anew.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

Revealing the Holy Moment

The First Immaculate Kiss reveals the tender and piercing moment between the Blessed Mother and her newborn Son, the Infant Jesus as Saint Joseph gently and lovingly rests his hand on the forearm of Mother Mary. This poignant scene as St Joseph’s strong presence is felt, brings strength, courage, and steadfastness in the peaceful stable setting with the star of Bethlehem illuminating the Jewish synagogue representing the law of Moses and Jesus’ birth bringing forth grace and truth. The lamb hidden in the background foreshadows His future suffering and death.  The stable cross beam behind Saint Joseph hints at His coming Crucifixion. “The Lord himself will give you a sign; the young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son, shall name Him Emmanuel.”  Isaiah 7:14

Blessed Mother, feeling ecstatic joy weeping and smiling yet knowing a deeper truth that one day her Son’s tiny Sacred Heart would become a Sacred Wounded Heart to save mankind. Those innocent kisses upon His future wounded heart, would one day fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah.  “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open His mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open His mouth.” Isaiah 53: 7
